4000 Ideas was initiated in 2016 as an annual competition promoting architectural thinking and encouraging new ways of thinking about Brisbane City.
Each year in partnership with Brisbane City Council a new site is chosen and Brisbane Architectural Students are asked to put forward proposals for the chosen site. Students are asked to design and submit a design proposal for an architectural intervention located within the Brisbane CBD.
The competition takes place annually June/July university holidays.
Final entries are to be submitted to Plus Architecture no later than 23rd July 2018*. Each entrant is required to submit 1 x A1 Sheet with a maximum file size of 12mb to firstname.lastname@example.org
Six shortlisted finalists will be chosen and announced at a date prior to the awards night in August.
All shortlisted entries will be invited to present at the awards night in August during which a winner will be chosen and announced.
The winning entry will secure a paid 6 month work placement with Plus Architecture in the Brisbane Office as well as a cash prize of $3,500 AUD.
Second and Third prizes will also receive a cash prize.
